CHAOYE PACKAGING KNOWLEDGE · PET STRAPPING
Explore PET strapping applications for industrial pallets and the factors that influence load securing.
1. Role of PET strapping
PET straps are used in many palletized packaging systems to help unitize products and limit movement. They are commonly combined with pallets, edge protectors, stretch film, and other packaging components.
2. Identify transport risks
Assess tipping, vibration, compression, sharp edges, and load shift. A heavy load with an unstable shape may require a different strapping layout from a compact and rigid load of similar mass.
3. Select the complete system
Specify strap strength and elongation, strap count and placement, tensioning method, joint method, edge protection, and pallet condition. Strap selection alone cannot compensate for a poorly designed unit load.
4. Avoid common failures
Over-tensioning can damage cartons or products; under-tensioning can allow movement. Sharp edges can abrade straps, and unsuitable seals can fail. Trial the complete pack under representative handling conditions.
5. Export purchasing information
For a meaningful quotation, share the pallet size, total load weight, product type, destination, handling method, current strap dimensions, and machine/tool model. Request samples before changing a validated packing process.
Frequently Asked Questions

They serve different functions and may be used together in a designed pallet packaging system.
Can PET straps be applied by hand?
